​I am a professional Early Childcare Educator with more than 18 years of experience in Child Development and Early Education. In my early years, I worked with my mother and sister who own their Family Childcare Home business while attending High School and Community College. It was not until years later that Early Child Education caught my attention and I started attending trainings and wanted to one day start my own childcare.
My dream materialized in 2017 when I opened Penny and Bear Family Childcare and once again went back to school with the determination to obtain a degree in Early Child Education. During that journey I obtained my CDA credential, Child Development Site Supervisor Permit, my second Associate Degree in Child Development, mentored student teachers and got my site rated four out of five stars. 
I strongly believe that children need teachers who have the educational background to helped them grow and develop and who continue to pursue professional development and an education to maintain their passion for teaching. Our Teaches and staff truly enjoy spending time with children and love to help them learn  basic skills  that will help get a head start in their education. They have Child Development Permits and Bachelor Degree in Child Development to have knowledge on best practices and teach children social and emotional skills as well as following a predictable routine to help them with structure. This is so important for children because  it helps them feel comfortable and happier in our environment.  They create a secure emotional bonds with children through interaction, play and caring about each and every need.
